We love our orchids and we love growing them for you.
There once was a time that orchids were rare and this stunning plant could only be coaxed into blooming by hobbyists. That all changed in 1998 when Matsui Nursery brought a box of our high-quality orchids to the manager of a local grocery store. Flower lovers rejoiced. And the orchid for the people was born.
Today, our dedicated and expert growing team hand grows millions of beautiful, high-quality orchids every year in its California and New Jersey greenhouses. We offer a wide range of orchids, including Phalaenopsis, Miltonias (Miltoniopsis), Exotics (Oncidiums and Intergenerics), Zygopetalums and many more amazing varieties.
I received my orchid plant for Christmas from a friend and it is still beautiful now. March.
Each orchid is carefully selected for beautiful flowers that last from several weeks to months, and nurtured so it will thrive in your home with minimal care. A Matsui Nursery orchid needs to be watered only about once a week (please check the care tag on your plant for guidelines), placed in indirect, bright or moderate light, and kept in regular room temperatures. Check out our care tips for comprehensive information about growing Matsui Nursery's orchids at home and find our beautiful orchids at fine retailers throughout the United States and Canada.

Trying to ID your plant?
At Matsui Nursery, we grow hundreds of different varieties every year and are constantly trying new ones. We buy plants from all over the world, and the same or very similar genetic material can be sold under various names (or even code numbers) depending on the source. In addition, some varieties are developed in-house and we don’t always name them. Due to the vast and ever-changing selection of orchids we grow, we are unable to individually identify orchids for our customers at this time.
