When Andy Matsui founded our company in 1967, he set out to grow flowers that would help make the world a more beautiful place. We began growing orchids on a large scale in 1998. That year we started the nation's first grocery retail program, becoming a pioneer in the industry. More than 50 years after our founding, we're growing millions of orchids every year and are one of the largest orchid growers in the world.

Andy's daughter, Teresa Matsui, now serves as the company's president and CEO. Teresa, a Harvard University and Kellogg School of Management graduate, brings decades of business and leadership experience to the company. As president, she is focusing on the fundamentals that made the company strong while maintaining the strong bonds her father has created with the company's stakeholders.
