Fertilizer
You don’t need to fertilize while in their first bloom.
We grow our orchids strong, so you don’t need to fertilize to enjoy their first bloom. If you choose to keep your orchid after it’s done blooming, you can feed it monthly with an orchid or balanced fertilizer. Just follow the manufacturer’s instructions. If you can't find orchid fertilizer, we like a balanced 20-20-20 applied 1x per month. We love that orchids are low-maintenance and only need fertilizing once a month, or twice per month at weak strength. There are other growers who prefer to fertilize "weekly, weakly" at one-quarter strength. Our advice is to do what works best for you and your orchid.
